In my view quality should never be compromised for quantity. Bad quality can lead to loss of a brand's reputation and loss of market share. A company must make it clear that all the employees are committed towards achieving the quality goals of a product. High production is required to make profit but such goals should never be achieved by sacrificing quality. Considering that food do not have warranty, when a batch has manufacturing defects, it has to be recalled. It is therefore important to make everyone understand that quality is as important as quantity.

si bien la participación en procesos de decisión, nos nutre de ideas y escuchamos a quien realiza los procesos, no siempre es beneficioso ya que cuando por distintos motivos no se siguen los comentarios o hay distintas posturas, las voces no escuchadas pueden ser fuente de oposición y luego deseos del fracaso de la medida tomada. hay que tener un muy buen equipo y saber dar y explicar negativas ante propuestas que se deben rechazar para evitar estos ánimos contraproducentes. para que sea una buena herramienta.

Some companies have refused to involve all stakeholders in the decision making. Ensure all people are involved during decision making and be ready to receive feedback. Working with closed channels of communication will only make information come to you when things have gotten out of hand and therefore there is little or no room to correct what has gone wrong.

Training should be interrractive and not be like a military operation where instructor give orders and trainees execute. Explain to your experienced production team why they need refresher training, what has changed and get their feedback. That way those who are being trained do not feel that they have been doing their work the wrong way but they will see it as an avenue to grow and get involved in routine operations.

I have always been with the philosophy of empowerment when it comes to communication. I find a team can be most successful and have successful communication by empowering the members within that team. This is done by allowing your team to have the freedoms to creatively think, question the status quo, and leveraging their strengths. By providing them an avenue to bring forth those ideas and questions. This can be demonstrated by engaging on a daily basis with your team, goal setting with your team, coaching/mentoring with your team. And most importantly having following up with your team. As this allows not only for them to provide valuable feedback but as their leader they know they have your support and interest in their concerns.
