There is one thing I always try to mention when I'm working in a new automation project; What are we going when the time comes and people would not want to work for a manufacturing company as an operator and would rather follow a path for content creation, sports, social media, marketing, work from home type of jobs. Production can be synchronised with order entry, and automation can also help with the set-up required for production-on-demand. As far as job losses are concerned, this is a shift in needs related to the continuous upskilling of the workforce. Knowledge is power, and updating workers' skills is an asset to any company. New skills in the workforce can also bring benefits in terms of production efficiency, salary and work-life balance.
