"Label everything" seems to be one of the underrated action word in yhe laboratory but when you think about the endless possibilities of things that could go wrong in the laboratory due to inappropriate labeling, it cost way more than that just one simple step of labeling. I mean a whole project can go wrong just because you used the wrong reagents because it was not properly labeled. In most cases we think we can easily identify what we need to use because we have enough laboratory experience and can easily identify this reagents without their labels. But think about that one day where you or a lab colleague makes that one irreversible mistake and it cost the whole lab everything. So "Label Everything". Thank you!

"Document everything" is quite precautionary as "Label everything". In essence both helps to prevent unnecessary mistake we could have avoided. Keep track of the activities in the lab is easy when we document them, and they can serve as references for future purpose.

Something I would like to add is "Tidy up everything after use". This helps to keep the lab in other, prevent unnecessary contamination and also helps it keep its essence as a place where scientific activities should take place. Tidying up after use also give an impression about us individually as a scientist and also solidify the results produced from the laboratory.
