As an Altium User, in my opinion, the best way to check the netlists is to have a full Rule checking and running an ERC and compilation for errors in your project to check any possible connection errors in your schematics

Simulation has its limitations, it is unable to simulate: humidity, temperature, vibration and actual component response. For instance some capacitors may generate undesirable audible vibration under certain conditions.

Simulation possibilites are very limited - and they do not replace real-life and physical tests. As board manufacturing costs are comparably low, there is nothing that replaces a prototype. Rather than wasting time in simulation, really research design examples and design patterns. There are plenty of evaluation boards, well documented, for controllers, ICs and mixed-analog devices that help you to get to where you want.

When you have a ready schematic for import in PCB, you can`t simulate your circuits again; it's all about your schematic import from another simulation software. Hopefully, two options still exist: one is Import Tools in Altium Designer provides, and the second is to simulate your circuit in Altium again. The second option takes a longer schematic design due to importing simulation LIBs.

Reviewing the whole layout by eyes in complex and dens. circuits also has a lot of mistake during the review. so this way is limited to small circuits. you can run a DRC checking but it Requires a full rule checking too.

After having a prototype in hand you cost a lot when it is ready. so the first thing we should do before this situation is to have a full review of the design. as I say always: "each minute spent on a design, save 10 minutes on Tests". so before having another prototype, it`s time to have a full and restricted Testing on your board.

Hardware debugging is stressful and frustrating sometimes. Therefore good expectation management is key. Inform stakeholders about the number of revisions you will need. Two revisions is a good start, but expect that with more complex designs, it can go up to four revisions for one single board. Debug one major problem at at time and try to eliminate only one major fault during your hardware iterations

During the test, if you encountered any issues with a section of the board, it is important to document them thoroughly. Proper documentation is the most effective way to ensure a fully corrected version later. I recommend consulting an expert to review the issue, as some problems may stem from underlying root causes that could impact the observed issue.

Layout works within the ideal conditions. Component's size, form and other characteristics differ may from ideal. Due to specifications errors/updates/EOL, need to replace with similar characteristics but different layout. Try to fit a 10 DIP into a 8 DIP position.
