What are the best practices for training DP operators and crews?

1 Basic requirements

Before starting any DP training, operators and crews should meet some basic requirements, such as having a valid seafarer's medical certificate, a certificate of competency as a deck or engine officer, and sufficient sea time experience. Additionally, they should have a good command of English, both written and spoken, as well as basic computer skills.
