What are the best ways to follow up with multiple interviewers?

Sending a personalized thank you note to each person that you interviewed with is a small and yet mighty gesture to not only show that you are interested in the position but also to showcase the type of communication you will bring to the team. Thank-you notes won't necessarily re-align the stars, but in a competitive market where you are one of several highly qualified candidates for a position the time you take to send a personalized note may help differentiate you. When sending a thank you note be sure to mention something that you learned, connected with, or received value from by meeting with the individual that you met with. If you felt a connection to something in the conversation it is likely that the hiring manager did as well.

I think this is a small gesture which demonstrates your interest in the role and organization and also expresses your appreciation for the panel's time. I think you can send 1 email to the all of the panelists to save time. I agree that adding a personal touch to the thank you note will make it stand out by relating it to conversations had in the interview. Sometimes, you may only be able to send a thank you note to the recruiter due to privacy issues. The thank you note is also an opportunity to finalize your pitch and restate your value proposition for the role. This step can definitely be leveraged to make a candidate stand out.

Whenever I interview with the hiring manager, I always follow up within 24 hours and make sure to give a semi-fleshed out idea relevant to something we discussed that further showcases my skillset. Ex. "We discussed influencer marketing, so here's an idea for a campaign I have related to influencers and XX company." I think it showcases your eagerness for the position! It never takes me more than 10 min to write and doesn't reveal too much, but just enough to demonstrate critical thinking and strategy.

It also shows your genuine interest in the organization as well as that you can make this experience a positive one despite not having received the job.

Towards the end of my recent 9 month interview process, I made the mistake of losing momentum. This market is different than any market we've experienced in the past decade. Most candidates have 'grown up' being actively courted with better compensation or benefits. Through no fault of their own the proverbial 'candidate' has an ego. There is no room for ego in todays job market. In order to continue to thrive candidates need to flip their perspective from 'what's in it for me' to a more balanced perspective. You have to set yourself apart, and demonstrate how you can bring value to an employer while evaluating the role for fit.
