When considering AR use cases, is it is important to consider if the use case is enhancing or creating a new type of experience. AR should be considered as an overlay that is enhancing our reality in a meaningful or entertaining way. An example of an AR experience that I think doesn't work very well, is placing a podcast player on a 2d plane in AR. Where as an example of AR experience that I think works really well is a web based virtual try-on of sunglasses. This is enhancing the existing experience of purchasing sunglasses online.

I think because it’s still so new, companies are confused about the best way to use AR. This is a normal way to feel, the good news is that innovating is about trying new things! Data and results speak volumes, so I’m sure once brands and entities see results as ROI this will blow their minds! Society can achieve so much and creating solutions which are user friendly and accessible can turbo charge the results. Tech for the sake of tech is meaningless if it doesn’t achieve something. Education, training, recruitment, healthcare, entertainment, hospitality, travel, retail can all be truly enhanced for a more fascinating experience. Being close to reality is the key, while making the experience unique. Anything new can be daunting at first.
