If we want productivity in an unknown or complex project, I've found that slowing down to step back and think to find a creative approach can help to accelerate productivity multifold later. Usually, productivity and creativity have slightly different goals in the moment. Expressing and clarifying can help frame the conflict better for all. We can agree to disagree and find a mutual purpose or a common higher goal to help us get work together to resolve the conflict.

Its a great problem to have and the leader need to innovate ways to balance both while setting clear forward moving goals and monitor/adjust the way forward to accommodate both. A very important aspect is to bring the team together and seek their inputs to ensure this is not just the leaders call but this aspect comes out from the group and then only it will be effective.

Creativity must also be considered to bring day-to-day productivity efficiencies and cannot be always seen as big ticket change.
