Understandably, main long-time employees are balking. Many feel that the new direction devalues their experiences and accomplishments. Have an over arching self-serve channel for sure. Though when it comes to diverse groups, don't add to their cognitive overload with yet another channel (we have enough distraction at work, as it is - and our job in change is to mitigate this and make things as simple as possible). Leverage channels and routines they already use.

It's extremely important to assess how confident the leaders are themselves to communicate the change to the relevant audience- if there is the slightest doubt, set up some time with them to take them through the critical/key messaging, prepare FAQs or talking points- train and prepare them well for the upcoming change which helps them to be effective, confident change agents.

Social norms are strong motivators for change. Educate leaders of the importance of their role in change, as well as what may invoke approach and avoid states in people, with HOW they communicate. Also ensure leaders are equipped with enough knowledge and support themselves, as they are both recipients of change as well as change leaders.

I feel that feedback channels are a given, based on what we know about peoples innate need for fairness and autonomy. My key tip here (because I see it happen all the time) is ensure that feedback is responded to and feedback loops are closed. Else, all you are promoting is learned helplessness (and avoid states).
