One possible additional item to consider is why you were laid off. There is a lot here about making sure you enhance your skills after a layoff, but when it comes to Information Technology Operations Management this is something you should be doing all the time. Technology changes constantly, threats develop all the time, new requirements come up – your organization needs you to help them stay relevant and equal to, if not ahead of, your competition. If you are doing that, hopefully you never reach the point where you are laid off.
