Some dramatic structures could even become clearer to you, if you draw some kind of map of the themes and of the main components of the dramaturgy while rereading the play, such as timelines, patterns of specific textual techniques etc. You will find out that most playwrights have their own contrepoint in their textual compositions. The composition itself is even more important than the plot.

Different approaches are always feasible, but if the integrity of the play's stakes is crucial and the absolute privilege of the playwright's intention, before anyone else.

The biography of the playwright is less meaningfull than usually believed. Also, one must look for intertextual references and relationships: They will always be usefull at some point during the readings and the rehearsals.
