In my perspective, the industry experts aren't so active on their social. Connecting and building a rapport through social network isn't that credible. I would suggest attending conferences organized by a particular domain or company. This is the place where you have make significant connections. Recently a people management program was organized by springworks and the people ops of various concerns took part. Isn't it a great ground to build connections?
