What do you do if you want to learn from your failures in Higher Education?

Here is what I do. 1. Understand why this happened. 2. Do a lessons learned. 3. Analyze your skills matrix 4. Speak to peers. 5. Perform a risk management Important to remember out of a crisis there is opportunity. I do not waste it.

First, identify the failure points. Seek knowledge to effect corrections. Learn how to succeed in the failed areas. Unlearn the failed areas. Relearn the new strategies to succeed. Know that failure is never final, it is learning not to do it wrongly.

To learn from failures in Higher Education, I adopt a growth mindset, viewing setbacks as opportunities for growth and improvement. I reflect on the factors contributing to failure, analyzing mistakes, and identifying areas for development. Seeking feedback from peers, mentors, or instructors helps gain different perspectives and insights. I use failure as a catalyst for innovation, experimenting with new approaches and strategies. Additionally, I document lessons learned and create action plans to apply newfound knowledge in future endeavors. Embracing failure as a learning experience fosters resilience, adaptability, and continuous improvement in Higher Education.

Reflect on the causes and reasons for failure. Embrace it and develop a road map to success. This could include doing Korean exercises on the specif areas of failure, read wide on the specific area and collaborate with others to fine-tune your knowledge

If you face failures feedback is the best way by which one can improve productively. Feedback should be taken from peers,colleagues,senior associates etc. And once feedback is received one should take it very positively and work on it effectively.

Seek feedback from your lecturers and supervisors. This could take the form of answers to revision questions, different modules on the areas of failure and engagement with other individuals undertaking the same course/unit

Depois de reconhecer que errou e qual foi o erro, é preciso estar aberto aos feedbacks das pessoas envolvidas e perceber de que forma elas poderão contribuir, para que haja o saneamento das falhas e aprender com quem pode auxiliar na correção, de forma a lhe trazer aprendizado. Importante mencionar que o fracasso, provém da natureza humana, e devemos aprender com os nossos erros, principalmente ouvindo as pessoas. Certamente, ouvir a coletividade, por meio de muito feedbacks, pode trazer conhecimentos e habilidades que antes não se tinham,

Algo que considero importante dizer é que a reflexão deve ser anterior a ouvir feedbacks. Se pensar muito sobre o fracasso ocorrido e tudo que realizou para chegar até ele, não há como aproveitar os feedbacks coletivos dos que podem colaborar com você e ensinar. No meu modo de ver, a reflexão é anterior aos feedbacks, é ela que permitirá enxergar os erros cometidos e as possibilidades de acerto, apontados pelas pessoas que fazem parte do ocorrido ou até profissionais especialistas que possam somar. Importante perceber que refletir e planejar são momentos iniciais em tudo que se deseja realizar.

Aprendizagem advinda dos feedbacks precisam virar ações, para que se possa corrigir e se desenvolver. Com isso, as mudanças fazem parte da correção e daquilo que aprendemos, de sorte a aproveitar o erro para mudar e se desenvolver. Não adianta perceber que fracassou se deixar desmotivar, é preciso aprender com o erro, para que o fracasso seja uma ponte, para que o profissional se aceite seus erros e busque crescer. Qualquer ação humana traz o correr riscos, mas o se precisa fazer é ter estratégias pessoais, para que aceite o risco, e se previna contra ele. Nada é mais certo que a mudança, por isso, precisamos estar atentos a realizá-la no momento certo para realizar correções.

Uma vez no trabalho, na classe em que eu lecionava, um estudante não alcançou a média na unidade de ensino. Veio a mim e disse: - professora, eu agradeço toda a sua dedicação, mas eu irei desistir, já é a segunda vez que busco realizar meu trabalho final e não consigo, fico muito abalado e me sinto um fracassado. Eu disse ao rapaz que o mais importante para quem quer se desenvolver e ter êxito na vida, é saber enxergar o lado positivo em tudo que se faz. Pare e pense no que está lhe trazendo fracasso constante nesse trabalho e veja de que forma eu e demais pessoas poderemos lhe trazer contribuições, para mudar e conseguir vencer. A resiliência é uma virtude, até uma habilidade, mas precisamos exercitar sempre. Crescemos com os erros.

We have to take such setbacks as normal and an opportunity for learning. Because, it is always learn, unlearn, and relearn, all throughout our lives. So take the failure as a step in learning, and try to overcome the limitations or the constraints. Requires patience and perseverance. But it is worth exploring as why this failure happened, and how to ensure that such a thing will not repeat. Seek the suggestions and advice from family members, colleagues, friends, and even lesser known persons. Somewhere lies the solutions. Use them and improve. Do not lose your spirit or confidence.
