I am a big fan of a few events where you can build your licensing and music sync network. Join at least one PRO (ASCAP, BMI or others) and attend their annual conference. Focus on attending the breakouts with the focus on sync and licensing and network with the attendees of this breakout and the speakers. Apply to join the Guild of Music Supervisors. Attend their local and annual events. They do great work. You could even volunteer to help that association as it is a non-profit. I also recommend the SYNC Con conference in LA in the Fall/Winter and the Music Biz Conference in Nashville in May. Those events would be a great start.
