What do you do if your AI project fails?

There are various situations in which my AI project failed. Rather than fail, it didn't perform the intended work as defined. And I will first identify its root causes, like whether it required specific GPU considerations, data inconsistencies, or algorithm or model compatability. I accept my setback, iterate, and get feedback so as to enhance and correct it as appropriately as possible.

Failure can be understood in different ways, but when talking about failing to deliver, scope creep is one of the biggest reasons. The broader the scope of work, the more 'variables' there will be that can affect the final delivery date or the progress overall. That's why I propose planning relatively small releases or iterations. First of all, this approach allows to work with smaller increments, more manageable ones. This will give you more confidence in achieving the desired outcome. Although, it is much better to deliver a smaller result more quickly than to attempt to accomplish everything at once and fail to meet the final goal on time. Remember to stay open-minded and not to forget that everyone is working towards a shared goal.

With AI, testing and validations requires good organizational skills. Make sure you keep track of all of the changing variables and constants in a clear manner. Make sure you don't have to redo experiments/tests because they can often be extremely time consuming!
