I'm not a huge of one-sided pitches. Conversations are often more effective than a pitch. If you are expected to pitch, be very clear about what is expected and ask questions that will help engage them. How will what you are proposing change their world? Ask questions to understand that. "Do you have any questions?" only works if someone has a pressing question. Even then, they will often wait to ask after the presentation which means that no one else gets to hear it. You need to ask them questions then sit quietly while they formulate their answers.

4 Use visuals and demonstrations

A picture is worth a thousand words, and a demonstration is worth even more. Visuals and demonstrations can help you illustrate your points, explain complex concepts, and showcase the features and benefits of your offer. They can also make your sales pitch more memorable, interactive, and appealing. For example, you can use photos, videos, charts, or graphs to show how your product or service compares to the competition, how it works, or what results it can deliver. You can also use demonstrations to let your audience see, touch, or try your product or service for themselves, such as by offering a test drive, a free trial, or a sample.

5 Follow up and close

The last step in your sales pitch is to follow up and close. This is where you summarize the main points of your pitch, address any objections or questions, and ask for the sale. However, this does not mean that you should be pushy or aggressive. Instead, you should be confident and assertive, and use a call to action that motivates your audience to take the next step. For example, you can use a scarcity or urgency tactic, such as a limited-time offer, a discount, or a bonus. You can also use a trial close, such as asking for their opinion, their preference, or their readiness to buy.
