In most teams in this day and age there can be both part-time and full-time professionals as well as a range of individuals who have a different case load management system to others due to the tradition of their specific discipline If there is to be a TEAM management system then it needs to be initially agreed en masse within the team what is the problem with the existing system. The problem that I encountered was I had a "Caseload" as well as being expected to lecture, train Senior Registrars, attend conferences and keep an eye on my own professional development which must acknowledge that individuals are at varying stages of their career. I would suggest a "Workload Management" system which includes time taken to perform specific tasks.
