What do you do if your organization's data architects are struggling to foster a culture of innovation?

Part of learning, is to be able to reflect it in some way in a practical case; as a prototype app or a proof of concept; since only by applying it to a business context, you will be able to see the real complexity of the subject and know where you can innovate.

Mentorship programs within the organization can help promote the culture of continuous learning. It might also help the mentor to grasp where the current perspective is inclined for data architecture. Within the professional services domain, if you're working with multiple customers every one of them would have a different data infrastructure and bringing the ideas from multiple such perspectives in a cohesive manner through a coterie would only solidify the direction the architecture space is headed.

It really depends on the culture, it is important for a leader to lead by example and be a change maker and this applies to any people manager. It is also important to incentivize innovation through OKR, TedTalk, and Innovation light house projects.
