I feel in this fast changing world, it is evident nothing is permanent. Even best of the best IT strategy will surely be disrupted and displaced. However "Preparedness", "Acceptance" and "Timely Response" would yield a better management of these events and this not just limited to IT Strategy alone. At same time deep awareness of external influences, a kind of forward looking mindset helps individual/organization foresee these turbulence well ahead of time and take proactive actions. Usually an IT strategy is put in place to yield operational excellence, at same time if there is also a proactive strategy of "will be disrupted" in place, it will see organization being matured to handle events with grace and gratitude, and not panic.
