Introverts can, and have, succeeded in mostly extraverted type tasks. The key for an introvert is to create a framework or structure to remove the ambiguity and uncertainty (an extravert will excel in uncertain social situations). Map out your plan, rehearse twice as much as you think necessary, and practice answering questions or prompting audience responses. For team-building events, extraverts have an immediate advantage, because they enjoy the open-ended potential of group exploration. An introvert can be equally successful by eliminating some of the ambiguity and designing specific opportunities to explore that "feel" open-ended.

Sometimes you just need to jump in. I was always introverted, but needed to overcome this when needed. Think of it as a commission sales job, you need to start these conversations, you need to talk to these new people in order to get paid. This mindset can help motivate you to break out of your comfort zone and get involved in more conversations that can lead to new opportunities !

There are various benefits of making connections with people and we say "Network is Net worth". Hence making connections is important, so if you are introvert then you can start your conversation with some random topic( you should not forget about 2nd person's interest as well). Try to initiate during group discussions. Present your views, its not necessary that you should be master on that (specific topic) but in this way you'll be able to engage and make your impressions on others. Don't be hesitate and be confidant, don't think what people think about you because they are also want to help you and want to know you.
