This approach shows you're proactive and keen on learning from the best in the field. Hiring managers can also see that you have connections within the company, which is key.

For remote job applications, it is important to include timezone and work rights, for example, "EU Citizen able to work in EMEA and AMER timezones," on your CV. Also, remember, when it comes to Content vs Design, Content wins every time! Design should come second. The best practice is to have your CV in the format of Google Doc, Word Doc, or PDF. Lastly, as a general guide, try to stick to 2 pages; the majority of the font size shouldn’t be smaller than 10 (font dependent).

And you’re more likely to get the job if someone has met you and knows what a great person you are! When initiating contact with someone, strive to offer value first. If you're not networking to your next job, you're undervaluing yourself to employers. Part of what makes you more valuable to employers is your "Personal Board Of Directors", your close network who you reach out to when you need help to solve difficult on-the-job challenges.

Trust is key to more opportunities, so ask for and give written LinkedIn recommendations. They already know you which makes them a warm lead and more likely to recommend you for open roles. Let them know you're looking for a new role and would like a recommendation from them and you'll give them as well. Then write one for them before they write one for you. Research shows you'll go much farther if you nurture genuine relationships. Plus, 70% of open jobs aren't even posted, so reaching out to people on the same team you want to be hired on to - not just the hiring manager or recruiter - will help you build a reputation and get your referrals.

I highly recommend that everyone looking for a job take some courses on AI and Machine Learning. It will help you in your interviews, and possibly in your new job. A full on certification is not necessary. However taking a LinkedIn AI course and having that on your profile will stand out!

Emphasise how the responsibilities of the position align with your skills and experience. 3. Keep in mind that it's not able you, it's about the value you can bring to this role. 4. Incorporate keywords from the job post into your application. 5. Utilise positive language and expressions throughout your application. 6. Use a job tracker tool to stay organised. This helps you keep track of the number of applications submitted and helps you to follow up on application statuses. Always remember, quality over quantity!

A highly targeted job search strategy will almost always beat a scatter shot approach. Instead, invest your time wisely, by focusing more time on the jobs where you can present a strateguc advantage, rather than applying to many long-shots.

Strategic Application Precision: Adopt the mindset of a sniper over a shotgun. Research companies deeply, understanding their culture, challenges, and goals. Apply only to those where you can not just contribute but make a significant impact, crafting your application to showcase exactly how you’ll be the catalyst for their success.

Don't just look out for online applications. Here are 3 different job application methods that I'd suggest. 1) LinkedIn InMails Find out who the recruiting manager for a specific role is and send a solid InMail explaining why you are fit for the role along with your portfolio. 2) Apollo Cold Emails You can use Apollo chrome extension to find out HR emails who are hiring in your chosen role and send them an email blast. 3) Referrals Build relationships with key players in your domain and seek referrals from them in order to get an interview chance to prove yourself. Using these different methods, I feel you'll increase your odds of receiving multiple interviews which in turn increases your odds of placing that job.

Storytelling in Interviews: Rehearse not just answers, but stories that illustrate your achievements, the challenges you’ve overcome, and the impact you’ve made. Each story should convey your skills, adaptability, and the unique contributions you’ve made to your past roles, making you unforgettable.

It's a super crowded job market. A lot of people say the markets are down, recession is going on, but there are still millions of jobs out there. The bars have just gone higher. You need to completely stand out to impress. So how do you do that? The answer to this question is through a Value Proposition Document. So what is a value proposition document? A document that clearly explains 3 questions. 1) How do you add value to the company? 2) How does the company add value to you? 3) How do you fit in with the culture of the company? Don't be reactive to interviews. Be proactive and take the lead. Employers are looking for someone who can get the ball rolling from day one. Show them you got what it takes.
