Eu particularmente amo trabalhar com metodologias ágeis pelo fato de que elas nos permitem estar agregando valor de forma constante ao negócio do cliente e replanejando a rota se necessário. É claro que é preciso ter muito cuidado e responsabilidade na aplicação, assim como um time motivado e competente, para que o projeto não seja algo eterno e que o cliente veja de fato os ganhos em cada sprint. São pequenas conquistas diárias que nos trazem resultados grandiosos ao final de um projeto.

Agile é funcional quando o modelo aplicado gera interação com o cliente sobre o alinhamento de expectativa das partes/fases do produto e se tem feedback sobre essas partes. DevOps teams are the “hidden” part responsible for maintaining and improving the company architecture skeleton. They are taking care of a real-time problem with the app and also for improving the quality and readability of the automated integration solutions.

When creating an IT strategy, I prioritize analyzing target goals, opportunities, enhancements, and potential risks. Utilizing Design Thinking is key to developing a feasible and business-centric strategy. Many organizations mistakenly rush into digital transformation without addressing underlying business pain points. This can lead to substantial investments, service disruptions, and eventual failure. I advocate for a Design Thinking approach to IT solutions and strategic planning as the foundation for optimal resource utilization.

Incorporate Design Thinking into IT Solution Design for innovative problem-solving. For instance, consider a client seeking an intuitive CRM system. Apply Design Thinking by empathizing with end-users, defining specific pain points, ideating creative solutions, prototyping, and testing iteratively. This iterative cycle ensures the final IT solution aligns seamlessly with user needs, enhancing user experience and overall system effectiveness. Familiarity with Design Thinking empowers you to blend creativity with practicality, fostering user-centric solutions and differentiation in the ever-evolving IT landscape.

Why Design thinking is important?. Many company when I meet and work still not using design thinking method. Finally, any requirement and function not on the same workflow which needed fron user after implemented. I think in the development people or product must be using this method, because should know the condition and problem to solve in many times. So, design thing for IT Solution position must the first step if you want do it something for your system at company.

The value of Design Thinking is that: 1. It focuses on the end user actors and their needs and wants. This is where the real value of the company and therefore its success lies. 2. It breaks down the problem into smaller pieces and prioritises them. Although this may sound like Agile, the delivery method is not really important. In fact, for those smaller pieces of functionality, even waterfall will do, as long as there is an Enterprise or End-to-End solution architect in the team who will draw the big picture, maintain it, and guide and govern the organically growing solution.

User-Centricity: Design Thinking approach prioritizes the User Experience where we need to keep the end-user at the center of decision-making. Also ensure that the solution addresses user pain points and enhances the overall experience.

I firmly believe that the essence of Lean IT solution design transcends beyond mere methodologies and enters the realm of mindset and daily habits. Embedding Lean principles into our daily routines is not just beneficial but essential. It's not a switch to be flipped on during work hours; it's a philosophy that must be ingrained in our very being. By mastering Lean thinking in all aspects of life, we develop a sharper intuition for discerning value-adding activities from wasteful ones, not just in our projects but in every decision we make. This holistic approach enables us to apply a more focused and efficient strategy in our solution design, ensuring a delivery that resonates deeply with the core needs of our clients.

Who does not want least cost, for the maximum efficiency? Lean IT is a double edged sword. While trying to avoid expenses at all cost, you might most likely get increased cost on the long run. Lean IT or Kaizen remains in the "Halls of Waterfall" and is probably best for IT manufacturing. Compare it to a fire house: Since it did not burn in the recent ten years, you abolished all fire men but one. Suddenly, it burns heavily. What can one fire man do? My advice: Stick to Agile in IT.

Muy al hilo del punto anterior. Hay empresas, sobre todo que ofrece software privativo, que tratan de encajar a los clientes lo que el software hace y no lo que ellos desean... Por eso yo personalmente utilizo tecnológicas open source, que permiten adaptar las herramientas a las necesidades de los clientes.

For me, Lean IT solution design is like a breath of fresh air in a cluttered workspace. It strips away the unnecessary, leaving only what truly adds value. It's taught me the art of 'less is more' – showing that efficiency isn't about doing more things, but doing the right things.

The LEAN process is really a sensible application in terms of the development of processes, whether it is the creation of a startup or the development of software in certain aspects, to reduce unnecessary costs and processes or functionalities that end up not being necessary or unused within the development of software.

The choice between microservices and monolithic architecture depends on the specific needs and goals of the project, as well as factors like team expertise, scalability requirements, and development speed. For e.g. Monolithic architectures may be more suitable for smaller projects/teams with simpler requirements, while microservices are often preferred for larger teams and complex systems. It's not uncommon for hybrid architectures to emerge, combining elements of both approaches based on different parts of the system.

Jump into the world of microservices, and you're not just upgrading your software; you're unleashing a whole new way to create. It's like giving your development teams strengths—work faster, adapt to changes smoothly, and roll out features like never before. Microservices aren't just a tech thing; they're your ticket to making software that's alive and kicking.

During the webinar 'Leadership Vision for 2024: Infrastructure & Operations', presented by Tim Zimmerman and Nathan Hill, Gartner confidently revealed that the top three services that IT infrastructure and operations (IT I&O) leaders are prioritizing: cloud computing, security operations, and infrastructure automation. To achieve this vision, IT business solutions must align with cloud computing services, using native solution designs and infrastructure services. Moreover, in this approach will enhance delivery times, automate routines, streamline the integration process and mitigate the risk in terms of security breaches.

The future is the cloud! Look at Amazon, they’re not making their fortune from retail sales anymore… it’s all AWS! It's all about building software in a way that's flexible and easy to scale. With stuff like microservices and containers, it makes apps more adaptable to change. This approach helps companies innovate faster, use resources better, and keep up with new tech. As more businesses go digital, using cloud native design is a must to stay ahead, save money, and quickly adjust to what customers want.

Embracing cloud-native IT solution design, I've found a realm where scalability and agility meet innovation. It's not just about building in the cloud; it's about creating solutions that streamline with the cloud's on-the-fly capabilities. By integrating AI, each solution becomes smarter, learning from data to improve continuously. Microservices, containers, and serverless architectures are my building blocks, and with practices like CI/CD, I craft IT solutions that are as dynamic and resilient as the cloud itself. This approach isn't just future-proof; it's future-ready, adapting swiftly to ever-evolving tech landscapes, while also providing a better cybersecurity posture.

Another aspect to consider is Domain-Driven Design. Please read Evans and Vaughn to understand its fundamentals. The formation of combined teams, creation and use of a Ubiquitous Language, Bounded Contexts, etc. lead to solutions that are right-first-time and compellingly easy to maintain, compared to tech-driven solutions.

Obviously AI is going to be a leading tech innovation in the coming years. Quantum computing is coming along. But I feel the need for AI integration into legacy systems with code translation and cloud modules will continue to grow for a lot of smaller to medium size companies vs all out cloud transformation for larger ones.

It's important to remember that no one-size-fits-all solution exists in IT design. The choice of methodology should depend on the project requirements, team dynamics, and business goals. Additionally, staying updated with the latest technologies, like AI and IoT, and incorporating them into these methodologies can further enhance solution design. Hope this helps.

I agree with others, Artificial Intelligence is an emerging solution that every organization will look for to replace many of the repetitive and mechanical workflows such as 'IT service Operations', repeatable level 1 and 2 tasks, and many more.

Another aspect to consider can be Domain-Driven Design (DDD): DDD is an approach to software development that focuses on understanding and modeling the business domain. It helps in creating a shared understanding of the problem space and aligning development with business goals.
