Take an average cost and tailor it to your offering and overall experiences. Higher fee services are generally harder to sell, so unless you can sell a service, your price is obsolete. If you do a video wedding, a couple paying you for a video, don't expect to make more money. They want to have a video which they will show to their kids. It will have a sentimental value for them.

Your target market will determine the amount of money you can charge. Namely, how much money do your clients make? If you do a video for a local pizzeria and help them increase the sale of pizzas by 5%, and the average pizza costs $15, 5% from $15 is $0.75. If you charge them $6000 for the video, they must sell 8000 pizzas to break even. What if your client sells refrigeration units to big stores and charges $50000 per store? If you make a video for $20000 and they sell at least one unit with your video, they already got back their investment plus $30000 in sales. The number of edits required can also increase pricing, as edits are usually charged by the hour. Or, if there is a clear timeframe, you may have a package-cost deal, in which the editing time is accounted for in one bulk cost

There are different ways to look at pricing strategy - based on the project, hourly basis, industry standards, etc. The one that truly stands out is Value-Based Pricing. You have established the value for the client to have a video done with you. You do that by asking open-ended equations and engaging in a genuine conversation. You try to find their actual pain points. If you can solve those pain points with video and know their value, you can price accordingly. It's not easy to do, but with practice, it can work like a charm.
