In my work with universities across the UK and Ireland, I have seen a huge shift in the interests of students and graduates towards setting up social ventures and businesses with a social purpose, more so than the traditional commercial venture. Recently i've also been made aware of the 'zebra' vs 'unicorn' discussion. Unlike unicorns, which often prioritise growth above all else, zebras focus on building sustainable and profitable businesses that benefit the community and the environment. One reason why zebras are gaining traction is that consumers are becoming more socially conscious. They want to support businesses that align with their values and positively impact the world. Zebras are well-positioned to meet this demand.

Immigrants, new citizens, returning citizens and various other groups of unemployed people struggle to qualify for jobs in the local community. Sometimes it is the language barrier, it could be lack of a reliable mode of transportation, or various other reasons.
