Bloom's Taxonomy is a learning design tool. Instructional designers use it to guide the scaffolding of knowledge and skills from simpler to more complex. In general, the higher the taxonomy level a learning intervention is designed for, the better the ROI for the company. The fact that we are now in the 21st century does not change this basic principle of learning and development. It also allows learning designers to gauge where a learner is in the taxonomy to judge content relevance through proper, level-targeted assessment.

I am a big fan of Model stacking, and for Blooms to fully capture the complexities of modern learning environments and the skills needed in today's world, it needs to be integrated with other models to better align with current educational paradigms and the demands of the digital age. This might include incorporating elements of technology-enhanced learning, emphasizing higher-order thinking skills, and integrating real-world problem-solving scenarios.
