Successful thought leaders in my field not only demonstrate expertise but also maintain a genuine connection with their audience through regular engagement, sharing practical insights, and fostering meaningful conversations. They prioritize transparency, openly sharing both successes and failures, thereby establishing trust and relatability with their audience. Additionally, these thought leaders often leverage various platforms creatively, using multimedia, interactive content, and innovative approaches to disseminate knowledge, thereby expanding their influence and relevance within the industry.

I kinda disagree with this. All of wisdom and experience on one side and couple of wild dreamers in 20s and 30s hands down wins big. Sure that’s not going to be perfect but you can always adjust as you grow. Only sad thing about conditioning of you have to be known big time. But when you are super known everyone wants a piece anyway.

Thought leadership is more than innovation. Successful thought leaders merge visions and innovation with the practical steps needed to execute and sustain ideas.

Most people don’t thinks this way, Do most people wake up and say I am going to disrupt whole industry? Come on. What’s better is giving honest feedback and be honest to build business relationships, take on new leads, help, grow, make it better. This speeds up to making better product and better lives for families. Please promote happiness over anything else because that already requires amount of work that will bring unhappiness. If you are doing something like Elon, would you even have time to read this? Or any social media. You be working without any care in the world.

Most thought leadership isn't thought leadership at all. It's just propaganda for some special interest. Real thought leadership makes you say "wow." Typically there are two ways to do this. 1. Be challenging (courage inspires people). 2. Be original (which can also itself be challenging). If you want a good example of who I think does this well on LinkedIn, I think Tom Goodwin.

It depends on how you’re defining success. Is it to build awareness? To gain access to places / events you don’t have access to ? To find new clients ? There are many ways that thought leadership, if done strategically, can enhance or accelerate success.

Always be KIND with your words and deeds. Everyone is carrying their own version (and weight) of invisible baggage from their past, present, or outlook on the future. Be the empathetic leader who recognizes that sensitivity in order to earn their trust to provide a safe place to discuss their truth when the opportunity arises. You will be surprised at what you will learn and what will grow from it.
