Given our emphasis on innovation, robustness, and reliability of products, along with strong commitment to quality and precision in manufacturing, our supply chain strategy reflects these values. Shortages or delays in these components impact production and therefore we look to diversify our supplier base, especially for critical components. F&B business like us have different business patterns and unpredictable trends. Few of the reasons for this are weather, mood & environment of locality, festivities, long holidays etc. Pricing and consistent supply of perishables are critical which also has shorter shelf life Some of the basics we follow to handle unexpected disruptions are 1. Calendarization of events 2. Forward planning and projection based on business plan and historic data 3. Close monitoring of rate movements 4.Multi level / alternative suppliers including nano suppliers 5. Rate contracts for top 10 items 6. Tech enabled logistics monitoring & storage solutions.

Supplychains are vulnerable to a variety of disruptions in today's complex world, including natural disasters, political unrest, shifts in geopolitics, technological emergence & cyberattacks. Unexpected disruptions can lead to delays, shortages, & cost hikes that affect a biz's profitability & customer happiness. To deal with disruption we may strengthen connected industries & technology, planning ahead of time & creating a contingency plan. For example we came out from pandemic, because our base was strong enough to made Vaccine, alternate channels/ options were available to maintain supply during lock-down. A supply chain must combine flexibility, risk assessment, and proactive planning to be ready for unforeseen disruptions.

Contingency plans such as building up safety stock and or establishing alternative transportation routes are important . However, the contingency plans should not have huge cost implication to the extent that it will affect the profitability of the business.

Placing all your eggs in one basket is never wise, particularly in supply chain management.
