One of the best ways to build trust and collaboration is to always be open to listening to contributions. You never know if you might miss a really great idea. Be positive in your feedback even if it isn't the best way to do some thing. You never know when the idea might be used in another way. Being a good listener makes everyone feel appreciated. Also, always recognize the person for what they have contributed.

Sharing stories create bonds among team members, fostering a sense of mutual support. It also promote empathy and understanding, allowing individuals to appreciate each other's perspectives and experiences. Ultimately, personal stories strengthen the fabric of the team, enhancing communication, cooperation, and overall effectiveness in achieving common goals.

It all begins with who you hire on your team. By selecting the right people, building trust and collaboration will be easier. Allowing people to be authentic and vulnerable will build trust within the organization. Having support from the top down is critical. People need to feel heard, seen, appreciated and know that whatever insight they give will be heard by all as the team works together. Always remember there is no “I” in team

Positive Work Environment- Foster an environment where team members feel comfortable on expressing their thoughts and ideas. ARE- Appreciation, Recognition, Encouragement. Team Building Activities- Includes team building exercises, workshops, or social events. Setting Clear Expectations- This helps in avoiding misunderstandings and promotes accountability. Conflict Resolution- Provide a platform for team members to discuss and resolve issues, fostering a culture of open dialogue and resolution. Celebrating Diversity- Embrace and celebrate the diversity of skills, backgrounds, and perspectives within the team. Training and Development- This not only enhances skills but also demonstrates a commitment to their growth, building trust.

Share your story, both your success and failures. That’s how you can gain the trust. Success lets them understand the way forward and re-assures their decision. Failures will let them know that you are honest and also they will understand the do’s and dont’s. Also share how passionate you are about your work and how do you feel satisfied with your decisions and outcomes. These play a major role in developing critical thinking.

Por isso, pontue, dialogue, proporcione o momento de conforto e segurança necessário para que ambos possam se permitir e se expor para um movimento de crescimento.

Avoid being defensive - be open and express the willing to learn; after all everybody has space to improve. 3. Listen (actively) and acknowledge the feedback. 4. Take time and reflect on it. 5. Express your intention to address the feedback received - this demonstrates that you have taken their input seriously and are committed to personal growth - this will foster trust.

As the president of the board, I made it known that my job was to synchronize efforts to achieve our endstate, but each position on my board was to be treated as the president of their position - i.e. the communications VP was the "president" of the board when it came to marketing and social media presence because they were the subject matter expert! One team, with many leaders allowed for creativity, coordination, and brought the whole group together on the grounds of trust. We worked together to solve each problem that came up.

Sometime we forget to be kind to ourselves e.g. You do workout, and when your trainer says - great job, you are getting energised, and super happy to continue pushing, same with any other job! Encourage setting some harder goals and easier checkpoints/milestones within those goals so there's always a win around the corner!
