First - Listen to the team. What's the real concern? What and why is the conflict? What are the hurdles? What are their suggestions? Whose help do we need? Second - Talk to the team. Have a dialogue. Try to apply the Eisenhower matrix : urgent-important (Do first) , urgent-unimportant (Delegate), non urgent-important (Schedule it), non urgent- unimportant (Don't do) At the end of it all, need to ensure that the stakeholders know the priorities, the timeline and yes, it should gear towards company goals and KPI's.

In a recent project, I faced a conflict within the engineering team over task prioritization. To address it, I first organized a structured meeting where each member could openly discuss their concerns and reasons behind their task priorities. By fostering a neutral environment, team members felt heard and valued. Next, I introduced objective criteria—such as project impact, urgency, and available resources—helping everyone assess priorities more rationally. Finally, we revisited the organization's strategic goals, aligning tasks with these objectives. This approach not only resolved the conflict but also strengthened team cohesion and boosted productivity through a shared sense of purpose.
