In fact it is a plus to have various perspectives on fashion trend elements. No one is wrong or right on nailing a fashion trend until we see how the market responds, and that experiment is the beauty of creativity and not trying to play safe always. However there are few important steps to identify relevant trends . As a creative head my entire team would go through the process of investigation of facts what lead identification of key trend elements with me. -Past sell through analysis - market study, consumer analysis - material innovation which mostly miss out on.
