Most of the time, Infection Control will alert all Directors to communicate to staff members of what infection there is and how to protect each other, patients and families. Standard precautions are the norm, but there are times were PPE will include more. I would have a staff meeting with all three shifts to alert them and to remind them to make sure they follow protocol when using PPE. I will be informed by Infection Control what chemicals will be needed to fight infection such as; Disinfectant, bleach, etc.
