To inspire my team to think innovatively, especially under financial constraints, this is require fostering a mindset that embraces creativity and resourcefulness. We can follow the below several strategies to achieve that: 1) Open Communication. 2) Emphasize Constraints as Catalysts. 3) Encourage Diverse Perspectives. 4) Set Clear Goals and Objectives. 5) Implement "Design Thinking" Workshops. 6) Promote Experimentation. 7) Recognition and Rewards. 8) Resource Mapping. 9) Peer Inspiration. 10) Foster a Growth Mindset. 11) Set Aside Time for Creativity. 12) Leverage Technology.

RE define Success: Shift the focus: Instead of solely measuring success by revenue or profit, emphasize outcomes like customer satisfaction, market penetration, or product quality. Celebrate small wins: Recognize and reward achievements that contribute to long-term goals, even if they don't directly impact revenue.

To inspire my team during financial constraints, I’ll start by encouraging them and highlighting that this challenge is actually an opportunity, as challenges often spark creativity. First, we’ll reorganize priorities, then engage in brainstorming and exchange ideas freely and openly. Through collaboration and smart, simple changes, we can achieve significant results.

Rather than ‘embracing constraints’, I think it’s about asking the right questions, and encouraging everyone to look at the problem inside out, upside down, back to front. Ask: ✅ If we were ‘X’ brand/company - how would we solve this? ✅ What is the solution nobody would imagine we could come up with? ✅ If we were the world’s most talented people in our field - how would we solve this? ✅ What’s already on the market? How should we differentiate, and give customers what they really need/want? ✅ Do we need to solve this problem right here, right now? Is there something more important/fundamental to our business we should actually be focussing our efforts on?

I would run a GoodEnoughIsm workshop. A fast paced event where I encourage members to consider something in their personal lives they use everyday, like an old bike, their mom's cookery book etc and reflect on what good enough looks feels and means to them. Using that frame and I would encourage them to flip back to work and the financial constraints they are under and work through a good enough conversation. Often people reframe and find a different way to solve a problem within the constraint on resources being lower than preferred. It is the age old satisfiers and maximisers debate.

There is no such thing as a bad idea when brainstorming possible solutions to your financial limitations. There is such a thing as a bad decision though. Include your entire team. Gather their input, and ask them how they would handle this decision. You may be surprised by how much insight they have to offer, especially the quieter people in your group when asked directly. If everyone seems in agreement, then you're missing something. Get someone to play "devil's advocate," or take turns opposing the decision. Once you've covered both sides and are ready to move forward, each person should have a clear and specific role. Employ feedback mechanisms to let them know how they are doing and how close the team is to reaching their goal.

Best innovations are done under the financial scrunch. Breaking those stereotypical methods and try to merge steps and maybe something entirely new. Those unconventional methods might save you a lot of cost

En los momentos de limitaciones de presupuesto es cuando más creativa se vuelve la gente. Siempre me han surgido las mejores ideas cuando no había dinero para invertir ni comprar herramientas sofisticadas. Lo importante es tener claro el objetivo que se necesita alcanzar.

There is never a budget too small!!! Remember, innovation comes when your forced to push your limitations. Always create three versions of your plan. A version with a high budget, expected budget and the lowest budget you can think of. If you are prepared for the limitations it gives you time to create innovate ways to work with the smaller budget.

Financial constraints often stem from poor decisions or lack of foresight, but the first step is acceptance—what’s done is done. This isn’t the time for blame or self-pity. Vent if you need to, but don’t dwell on it. Focus on gratitude and find positives in the situation, however small. Bring the team together for brainstorming sessions to generate creative solutions. If necessary, invite trainers or motivational speakers to boost morale. Celebrate small wins and don’t see failure as the end—just part of the journey. As Thomas Edison said, he found 10,000 ways not to make a light bulb before succeeding. Stay persistent, and innovation will follow.

One thing I’ve found helpful is utilising people’s strength - leveraging resources at our disposal even if it means adapting job roles and responsibilities to achieve more could help us tap into our creativity in times of constrains. Using our networks/allies is also instrumental in achieving more.

Doing this will make your team happy and creatively think even in times of financial constraint.
