To make everyone feel included, I focus on building connections and showing that every voice matters. I ensure open communication by encouraging honest feedback and actively listening to concerns. Celebrating diversity is key—I recognize and appreciate the unique strengths and backgrounds each team member brings. For activities, I aim for variety and inclusivity, from team lunches to virtual games, ensuring everyone feels welcome. Regular check-ins also help identify ways to improve inclusion. It’s all about creating a culture where people feel seen, heard, and valued.

If it is about the whole team rather than team members then it is better to have diversity in the team. Include people from various locations, genders, languages, cultures, etc in your team to avoid them feeling left out. Foster a culture of inclusion to encourage people to get involved. This is one of the things that has worked out for me over the years.
