As a product manager that has worked as an Engineer, I understand the pressure being faced in a typical team through the lifecycle of the product. When my team is overwhelmed by project demands, these are the steps I’ll take to ensure calmness in order to keep a coordinated team and drive success: 1. Set priorities right by making the team understand the most important projects and their goals to give a sense of direction . 2. Break down projects into smaller manageable tasks. This makes the workload feel less daunting and allows for quick achievable wins. 3. Provide support by ensuring the team has all the tools and resources they need. 4. Promote work-life balance by encouraging the team to take breaks when need be.

Step back and do a hard reset. Headlines like this one make me sad. Product teams aren't project teams. Product teams will not succeed when they're forced to please outside demands. Product teams can only thrive when they are empowered to work closely with REAL customers. Project demands = lack of product management Project demands = wrong focus Hey leaders, it's time for you to have the guts to create an environment where great ideas can happen.

When project demands spike, keeping the team motivated makes all the difference. Setting clear, achievable goals helps everyone stay focused and feel that sense of progress. I also like to recognise small wins along the way; celebrating even minor achievements can really lift spirits and remind the team of the progress they’re making. Lastly, open communication is crucial—creating space for feedback and support not only boosts morale but strengthens our collaboration as we tackle the tough workload together.
