In my experience, large changes to a system are most effective when those who are implementing the changes are supported by their team. Management should be involved in communicating across the company or department as appropriate, ensuring anyone who may be effected by the change is aware and has an opportunity to provide input. Team Leads and Direct Managers should reassure the team that they have adequate time to handle any unexpected hiccups and know where to look for support if they find an issue that need vendor support or a complex resolution. A solid team will take on a challenge with passion and persistence if they have the space, time and support to feel secure in doing so.
