When defining diversity you have to do your due diligence to consider all the factors of diversity and no one should be missed. You have to understand that what diversity means and what benefits are accrued by implementing diversity in true sense. Cultural Diversity should also be included to get a better representation of various cultures

You need people that take a stance & you need people that search for the middle ground, you need creatives & you need structure lovers, you need thinkers & you need do-ers. Look for a combination of people that complement each other in their personalities. Strengthen the strengths and compensate the weaknesses. And they will create success together.

What I feel is, any hiring should be based purely in fitment of the candidate for the role irrespective of Gender, sexual orientation, language, region, etc. This itself signifies that company follows a harmonious hiring practice.

I agree with you on having a skill-fit approach, from a diversity perspective it’s important all aspects of environment are democratically looked at, otherwise over a period of time the diversity and inclusion approach ends up in conflicts
