Once again, good communication is going to be your ally in this situation. As a graphic designer, you're tasked with threading the needle between conflicting messages and needs. Being upfront and honest about what you think can be accomplished is crucial. Start by discussing the needs of both sides and then try to creatively express those needs with graphics and typography. I've found LLMs like ChatGPT and Perplexity to be incredibly useful in generating initial ideas to build upon and expand. Once you have a concept or direction, you can use your traditional design tools to get started or employ generative AI tools as the next step in the creative process. I've found GenAI tools to be an incredible creative collaborator.
