If there is an impasse it is better to revise, understand the current scenario and renegotiate after weighing the options. Keep all communication channels open with all stakeholders. Never compromise on the core objectives and be ready to offer alternatives. Seek external expertise if there is no outcome even after prolonged negotiations.

Sometimes the "Noes" are more important than the "Yesses." Don't be so committed to the desired outcome that you ignore the many red flags along the way. Always be emotionally prepared to walk away from the deal if you must. Analyze why you are at an impasse, with an eye for using what you do know to reveal what you do not know about the situation. Sometimes there's a very good reason not to do the deal but we just can't take the hint the universe is giving us.
