After checking all connections, heatsinks and placed components, an easy step forward is to remove and replace the CMOS battery, the drive (HDD/SSD/NVMe) and the RAM sticks. If this doesn’t solve the problem, try dusting the PC with compressed air and replacing the thermal paste. Running the PC without a retractable component one by one and entering the BIOS to troubleshoot any problems should do the job, even if it comes to be a bit risky. Then, replacing components with testers (same compatibility, ensured functionality) is the Hail Mary before one starts to test the IC chips and the traces for any potential damage.

When your computer encounters a problem, it often provides an error code or message. These codes can be cryptic, but they're a valuable starting point for troubleshooting. Write down the code and perform a quick search to understand its meaning. Some issues might require a BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) update or tweaking settings. When an error code appears, the first thing one must do is look it up, in order to find a description of the problem in case. Many fora have possible solutions, though many aren’t advised because they can damage the computer long term. Having a Reddit, GitHub, quora and stackoverflow account will be crucial to finding the solution and/or contributing to that. Some codes are more common than others, so after a point the troubleshooting will be easier and quicker.

This method, known as the swap test, can quickly confirm whether the component is the source of the problem. If your computer works with the replacement part, you've identified the culprit. There are many software solutions for the majority of problems one may encounter. For instance, HDTunePro is my go-to when it comes to drive health, errors, read/writing speed etc. the built-in memtest is also the quickest solution, without the need to download a third party program. There are also more than a few programs that will ensure that all drivers are up to date, instead of checking each one manually. Windows update center will also find some if a third party program is not advised to be put in use

If your computer's cooling system isn't doing the job, consider ways to enhance airflow. Repositioning your system, clearing obstructions, or even using a desk fan to direct cool air towards the intake vents can make a significant difference.
