First of all we should not seek rise , looking at our performance management should know ur value in the hotel, sadly this does not happen at most of the hotels. So if u r approaching for a hike first understand the market demand , know ur value in the market , should be aware of average salary for ur position in the market. Then speak with all the supportings. I know most of the company doesn’t value ur presence though they know ur work but once u r out with better salary , they regret their decision of not retaining u bcz they will have to spend more than what u have asked and top of that they won’t get the quality from that expense as well. So I suggest do not put ur value down , just be open to work anywhere n move on🤞

Before asking for a raise one should have a concrete money proposition as in the exact amount he wants or even better a concrete amount coupled with extra benefits with which he feels satisfied and can settle. Many times employees are frustrated with the working environment and resort to asking for a raise on the rebound without having a clear value proposition articulated in their mind.
