Whether you're working remotely or in the office, the work is the same. If you are performing and meeting your goals/deadlines etc., you should be able to confidently have a conversation with your manager. If you have been given more responsibility, leading projects, pulling your weight and progress is being made, you deserve at least a conversation.

When discussing a raise for remote work, I’d prepare by gathering evidence of my contributions, including specific achievements and how I’ve added value to the team. I would request a meeting with my manager to present my case clearly and confidently, emphasizing the benefits of my work in a remote setting. Being open to discussion and feedback can help facilitate a constructive conversation about adjusting my compensation.

First of all, remote work is providing some kind of work life balance to the employee, but interms of pay/compensation need to paid equally as the they perform same work and also may work for more hours.

Interesting. I would say negotiating salary should be the same process regardless of you being onshore or offshore. You are contributing equally to the company so in my opinion the process is the same - research how much your role is getting paid in other companies - take in consideration: the perks and benefits your current employers offers and see if the other companies are offering the same, more or similar. - Think about the impact you made, how was before, what did you do and what was the outcome. Think about number, percentage and cost savings. - Schedule a meeting with the decision maker and present your case - Ask question like, what is required from me to receive $XX amount per month. This way you have a clear plan.
