I advocate for a holistic approach to learning that encompasses both technical skills and soft skills essential for professional success and personal growth. This includes promoting courses on leadership, communication, and teamwork, which are integral to building a cohesive and high-performing workforce. By leveraging feedback mechanisms and staying attuned to industry trends, I ensure that our learning programs remain dynamic and responsive to the evolving demands of our industry.

Not only should HR goals be defined, the strategy and tactics ought to integrated across HR functions. For example, if the recruitment strategy is to hire at one level down, the learning agenda ought to focus on the competencies individuals need to learn in order to progress into those jobs. The same should be true for leadership development with a particular emphasis on how the organization defines exemplary leadership and how individuals can develop the competencies that behaviorally describe that leadership. A long time ago, Michael Beer et al discussed a model for HR effectiveness that included Competence, Commitment, Congruence and Cost Effectiveness What I have described here is the Congruence element.

1. Define Clear Objectives: Clearly outline the specific HR goals that learning initiatives should support. 2. Tailor Learning Programs: Customize learning programs to directly address HR needs and skills gaps. 3. Engage Stakeholders: Involve HR leaders and managers in planning and implementing learning strategies. 4. Measure Effectiveness: Use metrics to track the impact of learning initiatives on HR goals. 5. Iterate and Improve: Continuously refine learning programs based on feedback and performance data to optimize alignment with HR objectives.

To align continuous learning with HR goals, I focus on understanding both current and future needs of the company. For example, if the goal is to improve technical recruitment, I would enroll in courses related to emerging technologies and recruitment strategies. I also encourage my team to participate in relevant training programs. By regularly discussing our learning progress in team meetings, we can ensure our skills are up-to-date and aligned with company objectives. This approach not only enhances our capabilities but also helps us stay competitive in the industry.

Thus early on in their employment, we ensure an aptitude test which helps identify a path for both the development of the employee as well as aligning them with the needs of the organization.

Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to professional growth for myself and the other teams. My academic background in Business Administration provided a solid foundation for understanding organizational dynamics, while my subsequent HR experience has refined my skills in talent management, employee engagement, and strategic planning. However, I recognize that the rapid evolution of the business environment necessitates continuous learning and adaptation, particularly within the HR domain. To ensure the alignment of continuous learning efforts with HR goals, I believe it is a multi-faceted approach.

Wenn etwas langfristig verändert werden soll, wie hier z.B. das Lernverhalten, dann funktioniert das nur in dem ein Rahmen geschaffen wird, in welchem Lernen Spaß macht, einen Nutzen bringt und die Menschen es gerne tun. Das gelingt durch neue Methoden, gemeinsame Erlebnisse, sichtbare Erfolge, ohne Druck und der Möglichkeit selbstbestimmt zu agieren. Egal ob Führung oder Mitarbeitende - der Wille muss da sein. Das kann durch die Vermittlung von Sinn und dem konkreten Mehrwert durch die Maßnahme erreicht werden. Deshalb ist eine zielgerichtete und transparente Kommunikation wichtig, sowie ein konkreter Handlungsplan. Dann können Veränderungen erfolgreich implementiert und auch Ziele erreicht werden.
