Highlight all of you greatest achievements and be sure to explain what you want to do, and what you have done in the past. Use this opportunity to dig into your background and even think ahead about what you want to do next. Consider going further and creating your own personal brand, covering a topic that is a pain point for companies in your industry. Finding the answer to some of the industry's greatest problems, and shining a light on them, invite others to collaborate and create not only compelling conversations that drive back to your LinkedIn profile, but expand your network in the process.

While some people still use physical namecards, scanning one another's LinkedIn QR code has become a fun way to get to know people at events. Some key pointers I recently took away from an event, in terms of connecting with new contacts: 1. Add value before extracting value 2. You don't need more friends - you need more allies.
