Then, if and when appropriate (probably not the same day), come back with some thoughts about what you'll do to improve or address the issue. This will build trust. Remember, trust isn't built or repaired in a single moment; it takes time. And your brand shouldn't be so precarious as to topple over based on the input of critics or even nay-sayers.
