Social media is a tool and should not be the method in which you grow your network. Social media can be used as a tool to learn some initial information about them before making the decision about whether you would like to grow your connection with them. A network is built on relationships. Focus on one-on-one video or in person meetings. Use those experiences to build a real and lasting connection with them.

After the seminar, share key takeaways on LinkedIn with a thoughtful post, tagging the event and speakers. Connect with attendees and speakers, adding personalized messages. Join relevant groups and discussions to expand your reach. Consistently share insights, engage with posts in your field, and use hashtags to attract like-minded professionals.

Once you've connected with other attendees on LinkedIn, make sure you continue the conversation. Effective networking is never a one-and-done event, but rather an ongoing relationship development effort.

1. Keep your profile clean and professional. 2. Update your skills and experience. 3. Start networking and making connections. 4. Research and follow potential companies. 5. Send personalized messages.
