"The best teacher is also a student" I believe that being open to learning new techniques and keeping up with the new updates is what helps teachers to grow and become better, the world is changing so we need to keep up with the changes. For the sake for growth and for the sake of connecting to students. Also an important role of a teacher is to prepare students to work and succeed in an ever changing environment, so a teacher should learn to do it first.

In my classes, the most “wow” moments were usually those when I brought new insights in my field. Newsletters often provide good references to articles and can be a starting point for you to dive deeper into a topic. Another method I frequently use is listening to podcasts from people I admire in my field and saving articles to read during idle moments (while waiting in line, for example).

All education today, is about the skills. Previously you could say that education delivers data and knowledge but today in a world of big data available to everyone, knowledge is not the problem or at least not the knowledge in the conventional sense of it. Knowledge in the sense of how to use your skills and data available to solve your problems. In other words problem solving skills are key.

At the moment the skill of bibliographic research is still highly relevant, even in the time of AI. Get your students free access to the (expensive) scientific databases and learn them to search, filter and summarise knowledge.

The internet has been an amazing tool, besides putting endless information at our fingertips it has allowed us to communicate and collaborate with other learners from around the world. This opens new perspectives for our students and expands their worldviews.

I used to love global collaboration. Supporting our students to make connections with other students around the globe is an amazing experience. Students grow exponentially, they become citizens of the world. These connections help our students learn about finances, culture, food, history, etc. The opportunity of collaborating internationally even gives students opportunities to travel and actually experience a classroom without borders.

Multilingual and multicultural settings provide a diverse range of experiences from across the globe, which has potential to provide exposure to a diverse range of teaching-learning resources, methods, experiences, case studies, research opportunities. This enhances feasibility for collaborative learning, projects and research, and makes it fit for the globalised world.

Some of my best learnings happened while I was connecting with foreigners. My favorite was back in 2015, when I spent a few months in Egypt. It opened up a whole new culture box I wasn't even aware of. People with such a different culture from the Western ones I knew, yet living their day-to-day lives in such a relatable way was super interesting. In that same experience, I got to know a bit more about other livelihoods and had overall experiences that I would have never dreamed were possible otherwise. Since then, I've studied a lot, wrote my master's dissertation and, a decade later, imagine that, became an expert in MENA geopolitics!

O ser humano, integral como é, não pode dissociar totalmente o pessoal do profissional e neste ponto torna-se evidente a necessidade de efetivo autoconhecimento, que dá-se ao longo de toda a vida e somente é possível por uma profunda reflexão.

En muchas ocasiones podemos creer que estamos haciendo las cosas bien, cada grupo de estudiantes es distinto, cada individuo es distinto, lo que me funciono con unos puede no funcionar con otros, debemos ser lo suficientemente humildes para aceptar las críticas en pro de mejorar el desarrollo educacional.

Reflection positions educators as learners. The more we practice being curious and adaptive, we're more equipped to partner with our students in their learning. Additionally, effective reflection requires collaboration. Processing our observations, questions, insights, disappointments, and failures with a colleague helps us gain perspective we might not be able to achieve on our own. Lastly, effective reflection considers our feelings. Being able to think about our thinking (metacognition) paired with awareness of our feelings (mindfulness) helps us stay connected to the fact that learning is not only a cognitive experience. Learning is vulnerable, exciting, challenging, and rewarding.

Promote Lifelong Learning: Give pupils an attitude that values lifelong learning by motivating them to be inquisitive and never stop seeking knowledge.

All the points which are discussed are highly relevant and useful. I would like to add that along with problem solving, creativity and critical thinking, we must also focus on the core skills of learning such as numeracy and literacy. With the advancements in technology and various teaching methods, the amount of work done or exploration by students has reduced drastically. The stimulation required for neat handwriting should also be inculcated in the young minds. It happens that students are already given a range of multiple options that now they don't have the need to think by themselves. The buffet enables them to make a well informed choice rather than creating a choice for themselves.
