Though outside the traditional norm, tools like Figma, Webflow, and Wix are highly valued in our community. Expanding our skill set is essential to staying relevant in our career. Never get too comfortable—embrace new technologies and keep evolving.

In general, it can be quite scary to manage work and education or rather learning a skill. I seldom call "Graphic Design" a component of formal education due to the nature of creativity, skill and passion involved. I personally have a 3 step plan: 1. (If you work as a designer) - You are going to exploit your work time to continuously be better at what you do. This could be process or even software skills. 2. You spend time on personal projects and improving your portfolio - Use this time to work on new platforms and software. LEARN & CONQUER! 3. You often spend time on Youtube, Tiktok or social media - Use this time to follow tutorials, trends and keep them saved for future use. Do these three and become extraordinary! ✨

Planning is crucial. In my industry, I follow historical trends on when we tend to be slower before committing to a class or training. Knowing I will have the ability to focus on enhancing my skillset tends to set me up for success.

I always emphasize training and regular practice to young students because just watching training will not bring you any improvement. You should implement your training in real or simulated projects in a practical and step-by-step manner and find your weak points faster. You can start a project and when you encounter a problem, watch the relevant tutorial for the same part and fix your problem and move forward step by step.
