I agree with the majority that in small businesses, attitude is more important than skills. You'll be amazed at what people can achieve when you instill confidence and provide motivation. As a small business, you have unique advantages, particularly your ability as a manager to significantly influence the work environment. Use this advantage to build a comfortable and productive work environment. Finally, fair treatment of employees and a clear vision for the company are essential to attract top talent and achieve a stable work environment.

Look for a resource who have good grasping abilities and appear confident during interview round. Skills can be taught but soft skills is difficult to get. Invest in resource even if you have take to risk in hiring someone who is not completely fit with skillsets required.

One of the most relevant things I’ve learned about setting goals is getting your team involved. As a leader, you will have ideas you’ve gained from experience. Training and education to encourage learning. 2. Regular one-on-one meetings to hear where folks might be struggling or how they welcome challenges to grow and learn. 3. Team meetings to encourage collaboration.

The secret of any successful team and business model is excellent communication within the respective domain at all levels. We must educate our team when - where - how - what to speak or not to speak. This communication skills required lots of practice and learn to manage our all types of emotions in different circumstances.

I believe an outstanding demonstration of leadership is when a team leader shares his/her knowledge and experience with those who are less experienced in order to help them grow. Leaders understand in order to be successful, they must support their team members. It isn’t the other way around.

Celebrate Failure I know that may sound funny, but if you want a high performing team, you need to encourage innovation. However, if it doesn't feel like a place where you can fail, you aren't going to stick your neck out. If you celebrate the failures and use them as learnings, the team will respond in kind.

Apart from all the important points mentioned above, an Incentive Model should also be introduced where any team member irrespective of sales being there main goal or not, incentives can be created for referrals, achieving client goals and taking initiatives within the company.
