En mi caso, Linkedin ha sido una vía para realizar networking, hacer amigos, conocer colegas, aprender y hacer negocios. Las oportunidades del networking son valiosas en todos lo campos, para crecer personal y profesionalmente es un buen lugar para conectar.

In my experience, I see good results in terms of networking when I share my ideas on new and relevant topics, from a technical point of view (Tax Law). It is not always easy to take a stance on current controversies, as they are usually complex topics that require maturity and reflection. But I note that a little boldness is always appreciated. Taking risks here makes a difference.

Durante y desde el final de pandemia no había tenido mayores oportunidades de realizar interacciones presenciales. Hace pocos días decidí ir a un Congreso de Recursos Humanos, una decisión de último momento, fui para aprender sobre la agenda y mi objetivo principal: hacer networking con profesionales de mi área. Thinking precisely about the importance of events for building a relevant network of relationships, I founded the Instituto Mineiro de Direito Tributário (IMDT) with some colleagues and friends, in 2013. When we founded the institute, there were no regular events in Minas Gerais, but so just a big annual congress. For me, it has been very important to cultivate relationships with geologists, engineers, accountants, professionals who deal with climate change, etc. Knowing in depth not only the technique, but the changes in the world we live in, allows the Tax professional to foresee trends and take a pioneering position in relation to them. This is what we have seen with the taxation of carbon credits, environmental services, new technologies, non-renewable natural resources, etc.
