It’s paramount to have a relaxed posture when talking to someone because it shows that, you’re not forced to be there and you actually enjoy the conversation. It also makes the person understand that they are making sense because, having eye contact during a conversation shows that the person had your utmost attention.

Body language is crucial in communication. As a leader, maintain open and positive body language when interacting with your team. This means making eye contact, nodding to show understanding, and facing the speaker directly. Avoid crossing your arms or looking away, as these can seem disinterested. Positive body language reinforces your verbal messages and shows your team that you are approachable and attentive. Example for perspective: Imagine you're comforting a friend. Muchas veces en todas compañías u oficinas donde trabajan de 10 o 20 personas es bien importante la supervisión constante y mostrar interés en todas las preocupaciones o dudas que presente un empleado. El mostrar interés en lo que dice le da seguridad de que fue escuchado, y vio que se mostró interés en su situación.

In my experience, when I’m having a conversation with someone, and the person asks a clarity question, I immediately feel proud of myself because of the realization that this person has actually been paying attention to me. Leaders should learn to ask questions during a conversation so that, team members won’t feel that “our leader” doesn’t listen to us. The only evidence that you actively listened during a conversation is, that you ask questions!

In leadership is always important to listen actively but furthermore asking questions. First of all, the person actually knows that the leader was paying attention to what they were saying and secondly, asking gives more insights about the real need behind the story.

Asking Questions(Open-ended) shaped my listening skills. When I had my first assignment to manage a team, I'd often miss key details in conversations because I was eager to contribute. This led to misunderstandings and a lack of improvement. Realizing this, I decided to focus on active listening. During meetings, I started asking open-ended questions which gave me time to listen more. It helped me value the team's input and also gain deeper insights into their ideas. We may listen intently, and communicate effectively through our body movements but the moment you miss feedback- the communication channel is broken. Give feedback whether verbal or written.

Always providing constructive comments helps to grow, as a return, motivating closing, feedback. A leader is no other person than the first link in a large chain of important people.
